Nobel Laureate Sir Konstantin Novoselov Visits the Vlatacom Institute

The Vlatacom Institute had the honor of hosting Sir Konstantin Sergeevich Novoselov, PhD, professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and recipient of the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics.

During his two-day visit on August 22 and 23, the renowned scientist met with Vlatacom’s leadership and leading researchers. The discussions focused on introducing the Institute's cutting-edge technological solutions and research projects, as well as exchanging valuable expertise in the fields of advanced materials, solid-state physics, and high-tech innovations.

Sir Konstantin Novoselov gained global recognition for his groundbreaking isolation and characterization of graphene—a two-dimensional material with exceptional mechanical, electrical, and optical properties—for which he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics alongside Andre Geim. His insights and presence serve as a tremendous encouragement for the further advancement of research and development at the Vlatacom Institute.

This landmark visit marks a significant milestone in strengthening international scientific cooperation and opens new avenues for future joint projects and initiatives in applied science and advanced technologies.
